cold? or a cold?

This photo was taken leaning over the large lap of my large body building seat partner against the airplane window as we flew over Greenland.

Well, what's a trip to paradise without the follow up plague due to long work hours followed by 19 hours of travel stuffed in plane with any number of disease ridden tourists?

For a minute there I thought I was going to be immune. I told myself, "Self. You are merely tired." However, after finally sleeping a full 24 hours straight and still feeling like I haven't slept in days, my brain kicked back in again. So, I said to myself, "Self. You are sick." Now what?

Well, the throat hurts (I'm constantly replaying a commercial in my head from years ago - a little girl sitting in bed, rubbing her throat and saying, "It will hurt if I swallow..."

My ears itch - it doesn't matter that I've gone through a good half a box of q-tips and enjoyed each end thoroughly (is that wrong?), I can't quite get the itch to stop.

I did manage to shower this morning and make a trip to the post office, though I'm sure the people waiting in line were wishing I'd taken an extra day at home, as I stood in line *sniffing* and *acking*.
You know, *aaaaack* Oddly enough, no one needed the pen I had used after I set it down. One person even got out of line to search a pen off another counter. Curious.

Trying to listen through the bulletproof glass at the Hollywood post office was even more interesting with my blocked ears. Between myself and the postal worker, the word, "what?" was said at least 14 times.

Now home and back in jammers (clean jammers) I've self medicated and have officially run into the wall of my closet twice. Not full on run into, mind you. Just kinda clipped my shoulder, or my hip as if the doorway got smaller or my body got bigger...no comment on the latter, please.

At least it's raining outside. I don't feel like I'm missing a nice California day. The thunder is quite amazing at it echoes off the buildings.
At least I think it's echoing off the buildings....it could just be my ears.

Night all.

*ack*
